남산타워 - 서울의 상징적인 랜드마크

Today I am going to tell you about an iconic landmark of the city: The N Seoul Tower, also known as Namsan Tower. If you ever happen to visit South Korea, and are in Seoul, Namsan Tower should be on your must-visit list. I have been living here for the last three years but never had a chance to visit it. This year I finally visited it and was left awestruck when I saw this gorgeous icon of Seoul. Korea has really many towers. Hahaha! Every major city has one, but I think Namsan Tower beats them all.

오늘은 서울의 상징적인 랜드마크인 N서울타워나 남산타워에 대해 소개하겠습니다. 한국을 방문하여 서울에 있다면 남산 타워가 가야할 목록에 있어야 합니다. 나는 지난 3년 동안 이곳에 살았지만 한 번도 방문할 기회가 없었습니다. 올해 나는 마침내 방문했고 서울의 이 멋진 모습에 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 한국에는 타워가 많다. 하하하! 대도시마다 하나씩은 있지만 남산타워가 다 압도한다고 생각합니다.
It was opened in 1980, and in 2005 the tower’s name was changed to N Seoul Tower, with the “N” signifying “Namsan,” “new,” and “nature.” Providing a bird’s-eye view of the city, it now functions as an observation and communication tower and over the years it also became synonymous with the cultural identity of Seoul.
Over time it has been transformed into a super tourist spot. There you can find places where you can buy souvenirs, cafeterias, photo booths, and so much more.
1980년 개방하여 2005년 N서울타워로 명칭을 변경하였으며, N은 “남산”, “새롭다”, “자연”을 의미합니다. 도시의 조감도를 제공하는 이 건물은 현재 전망대 및 통신 타워로 기능하며 수년 동안 서울의 문화 상징이 되었습니다
시간의 흐름에 따라 그곳은 엄청난 관광 명소로 되었습니다. 기념품, 카페테리아, 포토 부스 등을 제공하는 곳입니다.
If you are feeling hungry after going all the way up or just want to enjoy a nice meal with your loved ones, you have plenty of options ranging from western food to Korean delicacies.
The main observation deck on 3F has large, floor-to-ceiling windows, giving you an unobstructed view of the city.

3층의 메인 전망대에는 천장부터 바닥까지 내려오는 대형 창문을 설치하여 탁 트인 시내 전망을 감상할 수 있습니다.
Printed on the glass windows, there are lots of interesting facts presented. On the 4F there is a digital observatory and high-powered telescopes which provide you a more unique view of the city.
유리창에는 흥미로운 사실도 많이 있습니다. 4층에는 디지털 천문대와 고성능 망원경이 있어 더욱 독특한 도시의 모습을 볼 수 있습니다.
You can visit the tower from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Sunday to Friday and from 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays. However, keep in mind that the entry time to the observatory ends half an hour before closing time, so make sure to arrive on time. Access to the observatory also requires an admission ticket. The price of admission ticket is 10,000 won for visitors 13 years and older, and 8,000 won for children between 3 and 12 years old as well as for seniors over 65 years old. Ticket prices might vary, but you can check that once you are there.
The last thing you should not miss is love padlocks! Oh, the love locks! Rows and rows of long chains of love locks. Lovers come and write cutesy stuff or simply their names and lock them here. There are so many souvenir shops selling these - you have a huge variety to choose from.
일요일부터 금요일까지는 오전 10시부터 오후 11시까지, 토요일은 오전 10시부터 한밤 중까지 방문할 수 있습니다. 그러나 전망대까지의 입장은 폐장 시간 30분 전에 닫히니까 시간에 맞춰 도착하는 것이 좋습니다. 전망대도 입장권이 필요합니다. 입장료는 13세부터 1만원, 3~12세 어린이 8000원, 65세 이상 노인 8,000원입니다. 입장권 가격은 변동될 수 있지만 입장 후 확인 가능합니다
마지막으로 놓치지 말아야 할 것은 사랑의 자물쇠입니다! 오, 사랑의 자물쇠! 사랑 자물쇠의 긴 사슬이 줄지어 늘어서 있습니다. 연인들이 와서 귀여운 물건이나 이름을 쓰고 여기에 잠급니다. 이곳에 파는 기념품 가게가 너무 많아 다양하게 선택할 수 있습니다.
Although there are many iconic landmarks all around the globe that are famous for bearing the locks of love, N Seoul Tower is amongst those renowned locations. You can buy one from the souvenir shops and lock it here as a testament to your true love. No key indicating no escape from love. Locked together.
