한국을 생각하면 아마 케이팝과 한국드라마 포함된 한류가 가장 먼저 떠오르기 마련이다. 특히 한국 음악계는 역사 아주 깊고 어떻게 보면 발달되었다고 말할 수도 있다. 한국음악 장르 중에 케이팝, 발라드, 인디 그리고 요즘 뜨거운 반응을 받고 있는 트로트 있으며 아주 다양하고 세계적으로 주목 받고 있다. 또한 케이팝뿐만 아니라 솔로 인디 가수 등 한국 밖으로도 점점 널리 알려져 있다.
When thinking about Korea, Hallyu, including K-Pop and K-Dramas are the first to probably come to mind. The Korean music scene especially, can be said to have a long history, and is very well developed. Music genres in Korea are diverse includeping K-pop, ballad, indie, as well as trot, a genre that is currently receiving much attention within Korea. Additionally, it is not just Kpop, but even solo indie singers are getting more widely known outside of Korea.
이러한 현상 때문에 한국에서 특별하게 경험할 수 있는 것은 음악 페스티벌이다. 계절마다 콘셉을 따르게 잡고 아티스트 몇명 들이 한 곳에 모아서 페스티벌 콘셉과 분위기를 어울리는 노래를 몇 곡을 부릅니다. 지난 2023 LOVESOME 페스티벌은 설레는 봄과 봄 날씨를 즐기면서 하는 페스티벌이었다. Global Reporters 기자 직접 현장에 가서 보도한다.
Due to the widespread of Korean music culture, there are many festivals that you can experience unique to Korea. Every season, artists gather at a festival with a concept related to the season, and sing a few songs that would go well with the atmosphere of the music festival. The last 2023 LOVESOME festival was one that celebrated the excitement of and the weather in spring. Our Global Reporters reporter writes from the scene.
매년 개최된 러브썸은 올해 다르게 더 많은 관람객을 수용하기 위해 잠실종합운동장 오림픽주경기장에서 개최했다. 안에서 피크닉 존을 아주 크게 열렸고 관람객들은 자유롭게 피크닉존에서 돗자리로 자리 잡았고, 봄과 어울리는 잔잔한 음악을 들으면서 음식도 먹고 친구들과 같이 즐거운 시간을 보냈다. 또한, 좋아하는 아티스트를 나올 때까지 기다리는 동안 공연장 안에 열리는 플리마켓도 구경할 수 있다. 단, 외부 음식 반입 금지하며 안에서 준비된 F&B존에서만 구매해야 하거나 재사용 가능한 밀폐용기에 담은 음식만 반입이 가능했다고 한다.
Held annually, the 2023 LOVESOME festival was hosted at a new bigger venue at the Olympic Stadium in Jamsil Sports Complex, in order to accommodate a bigger audience. With a huge picnic zone in the venue, audience can use their picnic mats to sit anywhere they like, listen to some calm music fitting with the spring weather while eating and having an e joyable time with friends. Furthermore, while waiting for your favourite artists, you can also browse items at the flea market within the concert venue. However, outside food is not allowed, and you can only consume food purchased from the F&B zone prepared within the festival venue, or bring food packed in reusable containers.

F&B존 (F&B Zone): 닭강정, 새우강정, 감자회오리, 도넛, 떡볶이, 국수 등 (Sweet and sour chicken, prawns, tornado potato, doughnuts, tteokbokki, noodles etc)
플리마켓 (Flea Market): 다양한 액세서리, 디지털 캐리커처, 향수, 장식품, 스티커, 키링 등 (Various accessories, digital caricature, perfume decorative items, stickers, keyring etc)
현재 5월10일까지 진행하고 있는 사진 후기 공모전은 수상으로 2024년 LOVESOME 티켓을 경품하며 내년의 페스티벌에 대한 기대도 높아지고 있다.

올해 봄에 열린 LOVESOME 페스티벌은 지났지만 한국에서 열리는 음악 페스티벌은 많다보니까 여름이나 가을에 개최할 페스티벌 꼭 한번 경험해보고, 아니면 2024 LOVESOME도 기대볼 만한다. 특히 유학생들에게는 한국에 있는 동안 아주 추천한다.
